Align Your Life with Aaron Alexander
Hello our beautiful friends! Today we have a very mindful and relaxing conversation with Aaron Alexander, from Align Podcast. We dimmed the lights, sat on the floor and talked about the fundamental aspect of movement. Tune in now and discover what is Aaron’s method to align the life and how can you turn your body into a self-healing mechanism.
Growing up, Aaron didn’t have a sensation that his home felt safe, so he decided to reinforce his biological home, his body. He got into bodybuilding, that later turned into imbalances, injuries, stress and anxiety.
Eventually, Aaron understood the reason he got into body building was because he wasn’t in balance, he was insecure, he wanted to be loved for his superficial look. He realized how unhealthy he was inside, made peace with who he was in the past, and started the process of putting the broken parts back together.
17 years later, Aaron became an expert of movement and its core component to mindful living. He discovered his own align method that brings more presence and awareness to everyday life from the movement perspective, going beyond the simple biological concept of movement and fitness.
Aaron believes that we become our environment. Everything that exists in the environment–light, sounds, nature, food, posture patterns, culture, habits, even the way we look at things–moves us. That’s why movement becomes the fundamental pillar of our life and mindset: it shapes us, it changes us, it aligns us.
Here is the list of Aaron’s believes and best practice advice on how to establish deep relationships with your body and maintain a healthy balance in life:
Your body can almost become like a physical emotional prison, because you got stuck in a certain pattern. Remember that the posture of your body indicates how you feel.
Your body has been your primordial root, it’s a self-healing mechanism.
All your body needs is right in front of you, if you feel connected to your body and practice the tuning mechanisms, such as walking, meditating, getting up and down from the ground, hinging your hips, and hanging from you hands.
Tray to lay on the ground on your floor. You will be surprised how the floor with a comfy rug on top can turn into your best therapy session.
To align your life, there exist some fundamental mechanical principles that you ought to have in your daily experiences to understand how to drive your physical body and stay healthy inside. Once you establish them, you can then build on them.
55-38-7 communication principle: 55% of our communication comes from body language, 38% from tonality, and 7% from actual words.
Open your windows and let the full spectrum of light to come in.
Bulbs are stressful to your nervous system, while the sunlight is the direct source of natural light. It’s like a warm hug, it gives you a better feeling.
Think of your body as a home. You would like to cleanse it and pay mindful attention to every part that needs to be taken care of.
Whatever meditation you do is the best form of meditation. The secret is to start and stay disciplined.
“Whatever it is you’re going to do next, make a move. What’s your best move? Your best move is your next move. Don’t overthink it. Start making mistakes” – Aaron Alexander
